The continued development and advancement of educational institutions in the village of Dawrai remains a key aspiration of the Greater Dawrai Community Association (GDCA) UK. By supporting education, the Association seeks to empower residents with improved knowledge, skills, and life opportunities.
Following a formal request from Sharopolli High School and College for the establishment of a new Multimedia Room, GDCA General Secretary Mahboob Islam (Hanif), alongside GDCA Management Committee members Alim Uddin Khan and Jitu Miah, met with the school’s leadership including Principal Muhammad Harun-Ar-Rashid. The purpose of the visit was to assess the school’s requirements, agree equipment specifications, and gain an understanding of how modern learning methods could be enhanced through the proposed facilities.
The findings and recommendations were subsequently presented to the full GDCA Management Committee in the UK, who approved the proposal for implementation.
Alhamdulillah, following approval, the required equipment was procured from Dhaka and Sylhet and professionally installed by Samsung Bangladesh.
A formal launch of the new Multimedia Room was held at Sharopolli High School and College on 29 January 2026. The event was attended by honourable members of the community, GDCA representatives Ruhul Ameen, Abdul Hamid Foruk, Alim Uddin Khan, Md Humayon Kobir Rajon, Moshiur Rahman Raja, as well as school staff and students, marking an important milestone in supporting educational progress in Dawrai.
